The Hmar Youth Association (HYA) and Hmar Students’ Association on (HSA) on behalf of the Hmar peoples in general and those of Tipaimukh Sub-Division express our deep appreciation to the Deputy Commissioner of Churachandpur, Ms Jacintha Lazarus, IAS for her sincere and tireless efforts to bring development in this remote part of the district.
The holding of DLCC meeting at Parbung, Tipaimukh Sub-Division headquarters on May 2, 2012 in which the local MLA, the 3 MDCs, VA members and civil society leaders participate is definitely a welcome step. We also express our heartfelt thanks to the Executive Director, DRDA, Churachandpur and Chief Execcutive Officer of Churachandpur Autonomous District Council, all the SDOs of Churachandpur District and all the District Level Officers for having concern on the land and people of Tipaimukh Sub-Division as an individual and through their respective departments. We hope and pray that all the schemes and projects that are being under implementation and on the pipeline proceed with sincerity and concern for the needy people.

Some of the most urgent needs of the people of the area include the opening/reopening of Bank in Parbung, providing adequate teaching staffs in all government schools and streamlining of works undertaken under MGNREGS. We hope these issues are noted by all those concerned.
