From the womb of Woman sprouted mankind. Bad people, Good people, Osama, Obama, You and I all have something in common. We all were wrapped cosily by a Woman’s womb until we sneaked into this world.
And how could all of us, innocent children who once wiggle in the warm comfort of our Mother’s bosoms turn out to be so different in the end? Never would Osama’s mother imagine that her son Osama bin Laden would one day become a notorious household name.
Apart from terrorizing and taking thousands of innocent lives without a tinge of remorse, Osama managed to do something worthy of noting. Almost all of us totally disagree with the ideology and actions of Osama. Which is why, the face of the world is beaming with excitement over his corpse. What America wants America gets, which is almost a fact and hard to swallow. Also the finger-prints of America is all over the world, her shadow is present in every country. In some countries and in the international organizations its mark is seen in the reins of the highest authority. A legalize or modern day imperialism if you want to call it. Indeed its military might and economy (which was recently hit by a deadly tornado) is outstanding. Every one respect that, but history reveals America is prone to push the wrong buttons in her international affairs. I’ll remind you two cases in point. (a) America is now laying down the life of hundreds of its youth to deconstruct al-Qaeda which was created by her in the first place. (b) She was prompt to react in bombing Qadafi when she fails to see the cases of Palestinians even after years and years of the rape of fundamental Human Rights and civilian casualties.
Till 9/11 America look so robust on the eyes of the rest of the world. It gets what it wants, and has everything the rest of the world could only imagine. But things changed when the Twin Tower turns to dust. After all, America could also be a victim of the force of terrorism. The unsinkable sunk. In a very disturbing way Osama showed that America is also weak. The most advanced nation, with her mighty Military technology and equipments was humbled right under the nose of the rest of the world and he (Osama) managed to withdraw the license (…is it too loud) of America to bully the rest of the world.
I don’t think Osama was a fan of Mother’s Day for the reason it being a Western conception. The fact that he passed away a few days before mother’s day made me think of the link between a mother and a child and for that matter mankind. Who would want to be a mother of Osama, who would want to be a mother of Obama? What is a mother’s responsibility towards her child? Who is a good mother? Could we call every woman who have given birth a mother?
To all the deserving women who have given birth…I would like to humbly take the opportunity on this Mother’s Day to say Thank you. Thank you Mother!
